Default general question.

I have recently purchase Guild Wars GOTY edition a week ago, and last night, I decided to do the searing and leave "noob". and when the FMV finished I had 3 NPCs in my party, as well as my fire Imp.

I completed the basic quest, and got as far as Piken Square and activated all the quests there, as I'd finished all the available ones from Ascalon City, and surrounding area.

I quit teh game, as it was getting a little late (3am) lol, and now I've come back to today, and found my 3 NPCs are missing.

I was wondering, are these people only there to help you when you start out on the Post Searing age? and disapear once you log out? can you get them back? or have I left them somewhere and I've just not encountered them yet.

It's natural for the NPCs to leave the party upon logging out. When/if you get nightfall and it does that to your heroes, something may be wrong. DB seems to have the rest covered.

As I say I've had this for 5 days now, and did the searing last night, I didn't know about the Party thing here.

now I do.

Any tips I would appreciate.

Since you want tips and are obviously fairly new, get the expansion Eye of the North, Factions and Nightfall.

It'll help and make Guild Wars a better experience overall.

It is hard to give general tips beyond

1. take all quests
2. pull when encountering large groups
3. always bring a warrior NPC, unless you are a warrior, and let him run in to aggro group
4. use the wiki F10 or Help on menu for situation specific information
5. do NOT start your own guild yet. Join a guild, make friends
6. make sure to upgrade your armor with insignia and runes as you can
7. this is a game, have fun

1. Pick up and sell all of your drops, including the white ones.
2. If you hold down the alt key while you're in town it will show the NPCs. Click them to move to them. This is helpful in large towns like Ascalon City.
3. Salvage the runes and insignia from armors that you pick up. Sometimes the armor will break, but often times, especially in low level areas, the insignias will sell for more than the armor. Salvage runes first and insignias second -- ID them both before you sell them to the rune trader (Yes, even though the armor was already id'd id the insignia after it's off the armor. It'll be worth more ID'd. Crazy but true).

Oh here is a tip for GOLD cause well Gold always helps.

In that "noob" area that you left there is a guy called Nicholas the Huntsman. He takes up to 25 different items that foes drop every day.

So make a characture that will stay in pre.. like a RANGER cause you can get the MAX damage BOW... and then collect the items and give them to the Huntsman every day.

This will give you some cash to start out. Its like 1,650 gold in pre every day. You can sell that 1650 for post gold and make 3,300g a day. So that is almost 100K a month for around 1 hour farming a day.

Also, there is something called "TRAPPERS" that you might want to look in into. "trappers is for PvP players" You could make another characture for this and get the skills for doing it. This will yield you 2,000 Blathazar Faction Every day for about 20 minutes work. Once you get 10,000 Balt Faction you can get 2 things called Z-Keys. People trade these Z-Keys for 5K each. So basically that is 2,000 more gold a day, or 12 z-keys a month or 60K a month.

That should bring your Cash Flow to 160K every month for 1.5 Hours playing/day

I have 5 accounts to do just this. It takes me about 2.5 Hours a night to do this but I am STINKING RICH. I smell of gold...and have no life.

Since the enception of the Huntsman last April I have made almost 9 Million Gold.

Just food for though as you play...
